LGS Innovations, delivering next generation solutions that solve the most complex sensing, networking and communications challenges facing our U.S. Federal Government Customers, is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Physics Intern for our Florham Park, NJ; Herndon, VA; Tampa, FL; Westminster, CO office locations.
In this position you will: LGS Applied Research & Technology (ART) is seeking upper classman/student summer interns and BS, MS, PhD employee candidates to work at our research and technology Labs in Florham Park, New Jersey. Florham Park is in northern New Jersey, with easy access to both New York City, and a plethora of outdoor recreational venues. In addition to Florham Park, New Jersey, we are also building R&D organizations in these locations: Tampa (Florida), Herndon (Virginia) and Denver (Colorado). We are seeking the 'best and brightest' with a passion to solve tough challenges through innovation and the application of science and technology. Successful candidates need to be able to attain advanced US Government clearance status.
LGS Applied Research & Technology Advanced Multimedia Networking and Communications (AMNC) is seeking candidates for its research and technology Labs in Florham Park, New Jersey. In addition to Florham Park, New Jersey, we have rapidly growing R&D organizations in these locations: Tampa (Florida), Herndon (Virginia) and Denver (Colorado).

The AMNC lab performs advanced R&D to:
Create novel wireless communications and situational awareness systems using standards based and custom communications protocols.
Create unique small size, weight and power systems for use in air, land and maritime environments
Employ advanced signal and protocol processing, channel modeling and waveform design from HF to W band and optical frequencies as well.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
Work includes wireless communications signal and protocol processing, channel modeling & waveform design and implementation from HF to W band and beyond. The successful candidate will work on advanced communications and sensing systems - theory, system design, algorithm design and simulation and implementation in ASICs, FPGAs, chip level digital and RF circuit design and object oriented SW.
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Upper Classman leading to BS, or graduate studies leading to MS or PhD, in Electrical Engineering or Physics
Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
Mathematics analysis tools such as MATLAB
HOL Frameworks & Programming in HOL such as C / C++
Source Code Control
Protocols Synthesis and Analysis
Math / Signal Processing / Linear Algebra
Digital Signal Processing
Digital IC or RFIC Circuit Designs & CAD Tools
Hardware Design boards, multichip packages, VHDL, RTL, devices
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/poly (US citizenship is a prerequisite)
