In this position you will: Under direct supervision, perform research, design and software development in various aspects of general IP network security for both classified and unclassified programs.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers to determine their most difficult cybersecurity and related problems; coordinate project requirements definitions according to customer needs
Contribute to high performance technical teams to innovate and execute both short-term and long-term project goals
Contribute to research on solutions to challenging cyber-security and computer networking problems
Design, implement and unit test software and hardware solutions
Contribute to efforts to integrate solutions into larger systems and evaluate solution effectiveness
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand, adhere to, and promote all LGS Ethics and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position
Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and 0-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
Broad computer science and/or networking background, which may include knowledge in cybersecurity, IP networking, and software development
Software development and software engineering life cycle experience
Demonstrated software development skills and demonstrated experience in current languages such as JAVA, C++, Python, Ruby, PHP, Javascript, etc
Demonstrated knowledge of IP (v4 and v6) and computer and network security.
Software development experience on both Windows and Linux platforms
Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies
Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required

Cryptography applied to privacy and security
