Job Description

The position resides within the Cash and Loan Group of the North America Accounting and Reporting team.

This individual ensures compliance with all accounting and reporting requirements of loan and interest accounting for the Company in North America.

This position supports the Accounting Supervisor, Corporate Accounting.

The position is involved in the regular reconciliation and analysis of various general ledger accounts in the areas of In-house banking and interest.

Additionally, the position will include supporting divestitures and acquisitions/integrations with respect to aspects of cash and loan accounting.

The position will also be responsible for monthly reporting and account analysis, monthly closing activities related to assigned legal entities and general support to the group in areas such as audit support, internal management reporting, year-end reporting, ad-hoc management requests and accounting research and documentation.

Reconcile daily Global and Regional in-house bank accounts. Support third party bank reconciliation for North American companies as needed.

Analysis of the S/T & L/T financing account balances including Bond Activity, Intercompany & Third Party Debt, Interest Income & Expense among North American Companies and Foreign affiliates of the Company.

Monthly closing activities related to selected legal entities, including reporting into global reporting systems.

Support for special projects or ad hoc requests.

Provide backfill within the Cash and Loan group.

Monthly account analysis and journal entry processing for accounts assigned to the position.

Providing general support in areas such as internal management reporting, year-end financial package reporting, technical accounting research/documentation and providing support necessary to facilitate the Company satisfying external audit requirements.

Bachelor's degree or higher, required. Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA a plus.

Must have at least 5 years of relevant Accounting or finance experience.

Project management experience a plus.

Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS experience a plus.

Requires strong collaboration skills to allow for interaction with cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge of SAP or other general ledger software highly desired.

Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point required.

Must be able to function effectively both individually and as part of team with minimal supervision.

Must demonstrate concern for all aspects of job, as well as accurately checking routine and non-routine processes to ensure all details are covered.

Requires strong analytical and organizational skills.

Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and adapt to change in order to meet tight deadlines.

Requires strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of management/personnel.

Must possess a strong work ethic with a high degree of tenacity that is applied with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
