Primary Purpose:
Under direct supervision design, develop and test electrical components and systems for applied research and technology.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Develop electrical designs based on customer requirements for research programs
Evaluate electrical components, products and systems
Develop designs and manufacturing processes
Develop testing methodologies and product documentation
Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies.
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (US citizenship is a prerequisite)
Data analysis for signal processing, including processing data sets for algorithm/application performance, using tools such as MATLAB
Digital Board design of low voltage, high speed, highly integrated circuits.
Firmware for real-time hardware and software, including skills in C and VHDL
Electromagnetics for antenna design including simulation modeling
RF Board design including skills in SPICE
Minimum Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering and 0-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in an office environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
