Our client, located in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a BI Developer for an immediate full-time position. Details include:
About the Opportunity:
-Strategically design and implement BI software and systems.
-Determines User requirements, Report design, In-depth testing and monitoring reports.
-Coordinate with other members of the team to determine project requirements and source.
-Responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and testing.
Essential Job Functions:
-Design, code, test Cognos reports based on user requirements.
-Design and Develop Framework Manager package and publish to the front end.
-Gather requirements for Projects from functional teams.
-Working on Stored procedures including modelling and creating reports.
-Co-ordinate to develop test plans and coordinate testing reports.
-Support and maintain ongoing enhancements to report projects.
-Write technical and end-user documentation for reports
Job Requirements:
-BA/BS degree in computer systems design, computer science, or system engineering.
-Minimum of 4 years direct work experience in IT industry with proficiency in Business Intelligence software tools including Framework Manager, Transformer, Metric Studio, Event Studio, Query Studio, -Report Studio and Analysis Studio
-Familiarity with customizing COGNOS portals and user interfaces
-Proven experience in Data Warehouse design, Dimensional modeling and Management of servers.
-Knowledgeable in architecting, planning, installing, and administering Cognos 10
-Knowledge of various RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access).
-Hands on knowledge of SQL Server 2008 R2, SSRS and SSAS.
-Perform detailed documentation of design, development, testing and deployment activities.
-Ability to analyze user requirements and build reports according to specifications.
-Support migration of Cognos models, reports and cubes from one development, QA, Stage to Production environment.
-Knowledge of Accounting, Financial, and business principles is helpful.
-Proficient knowledge with SQL Tables, Queries, Views and SPROCs
-Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills.
-Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
-Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
-Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred
-Hands on knowledge of SQL Server 2012
-Knowledge of SDK
-Knowledge of SharePoint
-Knowledge of utilizing the C10 Audit database
