Description_
The Business Systems Analyst details functional requirements for new and enhanced functionality for the web applications developed in Java/J2EE. Works with internal and external clients to define the needs of key clients and stakeholders. Will act as a liaison between business users and developers. Will assist with customer support and product testing.
Analyzes and solves problems that are lower complexity and may be routine in nature, requiring varied responses depending on the situation.
Interacts with peers within Accenture before updating supervisors. Likely has some interactions with non-management levels at the client and/or within Accenture.
Receives minimal instruction on daily work tasks and a moderate level of instruction on new assignments.
Decisions impact own work and may impact the work of others.
Individual contributor and/or oversees a small work effort and/or team.
The Business Systems Analyst should be familiar with the complete software development lifecycle and have hands-on experience in analyzing and documenting business requirements and communicating effectively with stakeholders. The Business Systems Analyst should be familiar with various software lifecycle methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall etc.) and will be a hands-on, solution oriented individual with strong analysis, logical and problem solving skills; along with a good understanding of business process, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to communicate well with business and technical partners while handling multiple parallel deliverables. The ability to work with multiple external customers and communicate clearly on the technical solution and understanding of business impact is a must. The Business Systems Analyst will document software issues encountered in production, analyze the root cause, debug the issue and provide the solution to the user.
Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst will include:
documenting software issues encountered in production
analyzing the root cause and debugging the issue when needed
making configuration changes, providing software updates or documenting requirements as needed for the application
ensuring an end-to-end resolution for the production user request or incident

Basic Qualifications

years of strong Business Systems Analysis experience, including:
Requirements gathering/definition
Supporting users to provide guidance on functional use of software

years of experience with MS Visio (or similar tool) to document deployment diagrams and use cases
Additional Preferred Skill Requirements
Exposure to one of the following:
Java/J2EE
PL/SQL
Experience with web technologies such as XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apache, AJAX, Hibernate and SOAP
Experience with Sybase Power Designer tool for documentation
Experience in cross browser testing
Professional Skill Requirements
Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Desire to work in an information systems environment
Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
