Description Where the Chemistry Happens Your contribution will support management in decision-making, promote the exchange with other functions and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines.

As a Tax Analyst you create chemistry by Ensuring compliance with state income tax laws and regulations by preparing state tax returns and provisions, supporting other state income and incentives tasks, and assisting with state income tax audits.
Responsibilities:
State Tax Compliance:
prepare and file state income and franchise tax returns, estimates and extensions.
Prepare supporting workpapers, apportionment, and maintain tax calendar.
Participate in tax planning and forecasting.
State Credits and Incentives:
prepare required filings for state credits and incentives.
Audits and Tax Inquiries:
assist with state income tax audits, including responding to state tax authorities.
Tax Provision:
support quarterly and year-end state tax provision calculations and return to provision analysis.
Other:
assist with other projects and initiatives.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Your formula for success Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
A degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
CPA (preferred)
Experience:
2 to 5 years of tax experience in federal or state income and franchise taxes including compliance and provision.
Knowledge/Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of state income tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Self-motivated & innovative, with strong interpersonal and partnering skills.
Tax research skills, including state income tax laws and regulations, utilizing RIA or similar tax research services.
Analytic and problem solving, comfortable with implementing best practices and changes to processes as required.
Familiar with OneSource Income Tax & OneSource Provision.
Experience with Alteryx, SAP a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
